Soul's Remnant Class Tier List
You searched for a class tier list — but Soul's Remnant is classless. Here is the honest version: the four combat skill routes compared, with what we can and cannot verify in the first days of Early Access.
There Are No Classes — And That's the Point
Soul's Remnant officially uses a classless system. You freely mix Melee, Ranged, Magic, and Faith skill routes, distribute stat points (Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, Spirit, Constitution, Luck), and swap equipment, skills, and stat loadouts. A traditional "class tier list" cannot exist — so this page ranks skill routes and playstyles instead, and you can blend any of them.
How We Rank Routes
Paper DPS alone is misleading in this game. The official wiki notes that skills are designed to deal similar damage once cooldowns are accounted for — which means the real differences are elsewhere. We compare routes on:
- Damage output and cooldown rhythm
- Resource sustain (HP / mana recovery)
- Survivability from the route's passive
- Mobility for platforming and dodging
- Party value in dungeons
- Skill point cost and equipment / passive requirements
- Macro compatibility (see below)
Community build videos are already appearing — a "level 30 Magic Mastery in 4 hours" claim and an "Abyssal Moonblade" build, among others. We treat creator-title claims as leads to verify, not facts, until they can be reproduced with recorded conditions (version, level, gear, party, sample size).
Melee Route
Passive
Stat focus
Melee is the most forgiving route for learning boss patterns, thanks to its HP passive. The trade-off is range: you must be on top of the enemy, which makes platforming movement skills and dodging more demanding. In parties, melee anchors the front line while ranged and magic routes deal damage safely.
Ranged Route
Passive
Stat focus
Ranged trades melee's toughness for safety: attacking from distance trivializes many early monster encounters and keeps you off the floor in platforming-heavy fights. The crit passive scales well as gear improves, making this a strong long-term pickup for players who like positioning.
Magic Route
Passive
Stat focus
Magic has the loudest early hype — launch-week creators raced Magic Mastery levels within hours of release. Whether it is truly "S tier" is unverified: those are creator claims without published conditions. What is verifiable is the design: the mana passive supports long skill rotations, and macros let magic sequences fire cleanly from one key.
Faith Route
Passive
Stat focus
Faith looks quiet on a DPS chart and loud in a dungeon. Defense plus HP recovery means fewer potions, fewer deaths (remember: dying costs 8% of level XP), and real party value. Because skills are designed for similar post-cooldown damage, the "weaker" faith toolkit is a smaller sacrifice than in most MMOs.
Skill Macros Change Everything
The macro system lets you bind up to 3 skills to a single hotkey, firing in order from left to right. This is not a minor convenience — it changes how routes feel and how they should be ranked:
- Routes with compatible cooldowns compress into one-button rotations, shrinking their "execution cost".
- Hybrid builds (e.g., Magic damage + Faith sustain) become practical, not just theoretical.
- A route's macro compatibility is a first-class ranking criterion — we list it separately on purpose.
