Soul's Remnant Release Date

When Soul's Remnant released, why you might see a different date in older coverage, and how long Early Access is expected to run.

The Short Answer

Soul's Remnant released in Steam Early Access on August 13, 2026. It is free to play, so the release date is simply the day you could start downloading — no purchase required.

That date comes from the Steam store page itself, which is the canonical source.

Date Details & Common Confusion

August 5?

Some older coverage mentions August 5. That was an earlier plan that was adjusted before launch — the final date is August 13, 2026.

No more wipes

The official trailer description states that from Early Access onward, player progress will not be wiped. Starting now is permanent progress.

If you saw gameplay before August — from the June 2026 public test or the Steam Next Fest demo — those were temporary test builds. The playtest history page covers that timeline.

What Launched on Day One

The Early Access launch build, per the Steam page: classless character building across four skill lines, 72+ skills, 1,000+ items, ~200 weapons, 700+ crafting recipes, life skills (fishing, mining, herbalism, gathering), around 100 monsters, 19 bosses, 3 dungeons, 200+ maps, and 150+ quests — plus parties, guilds, channels, an auction house, and player shops.

The developer expects Early Access to last roughly 6–12 months, with content expanding based on community feedback.

How to Track What's Next

Release-date questions for future milestones (full 1.0 launch, console versions) are unanswered as of Aug 15, 2026. We will label them "to confirm" until the developer announces dates.
