Soul's Remnant Economy Guide
Soul's Remnant is built around a player-driven economy: an Auction House, player shops, and a gathering-and-crafting loop that keeps materials moving. Here is how trading works, what is worth farming, and how to plan for travel, crafting and trading costs.
The Short Answer
Trading in Soul's Remnant runs through two channels: the Auction House for listed items and player shops for direct selling. Check whether trading is unlocked before planning to sell a dungeon drop; demand and prices must be checked in the current market.
Auction House vs Player Shops

Player Shops
The Steam page lists both systems as core features, alongside parties, guilds and channels — the economy is designed as a social system, not an afterthought.
What to Farm for Silver
- Dungeon Crystals. Dropped from Silver Chests after dungeon bosses, used to level up some skills. Check current listings and your own upgrade requirements before farming them for sale. Party members receive their own chest; see the dungeons guide.
- Gathering materials. Ore and herbs feed the 700+ recipe crafting system. Early in a fresh MMO, raw materials often outsell finished goods because everyone is leveling recipes at once — see the crafting guide.
- Duplicate boss loot. Auras and Furniture from Silver Chests that your character can't use are pure trade stock.
- Crafted goods. Once the material rush settles, finished equipment upgrades and consumables take over as the steady earners.
Silver Management
Check current death penalties before a risky trip. The beginner guide explains the documented EXP penalty; the current source does not confirm the previously quoted 3% currency loss. Keep enough currency for the travel and crafting costs shown by the client.
After the available dungeon respawns are exhausted, the next death removes you from the run. Published sources disagree on whether those respawns are shared; confirm the current rule in the game before relying on extra lives. Guild references describe experience and drop-rate buffs — check current membership benefits rather than assuming a fixed earnings increase. See online play for the social systems.
Reading the Launch Market
Launch-week economies are chaotic: demand spikes, thin supply, and prices that can halve in days once farming routes get published. Some ground rules:
- Sell into hype early — materials and crystals are worth the most while everyone is racing levels.
- Re-check prices before committing to a farming route; last week's money spot may already be crowded.
- Treat any price list you find online (including ours, when we publish one) as a dated snapshot, not a quote.
